Masaryk University is systematically modernizing its accommodation facilities, with ESOX overseeing the complete reconstruction of block A2 on Vinařská Street. The aim was to enhance the fire safety of the building, which accommodates 325 beds, and to modernize the living areas.
Pavel Orság and his team undertook a comprehensive reconstruction, starting from the ground up. They dismantled existing drywall cores, entirely replaced PVC floor coverings, and professionally managed the dismantling and disposal of asbestos tiles during air conditioning replacement.
In addition to the new rooms meeting higher standards of student comfort in furnishings and design, Block A2 underwent a complete renewal of health, power, and low-voltage plumbing. Central heating repairs were conducted, and new kitchen units and fire dampers were added to individual kitchens.
All construction work was executed efficiently, and the building was handed over 10 days before the agreed completion date.
